ICE HOCKEY IN KOREA
All that speed, power, and excitement on the ice! I would never get tired of ice hockey players' quick judgement and play. Though I cannot call myself a great hockey fan just yet, I love ice hockey more than any sports and want to learn more and more about it.
Sadly, ice hockey is considered an unpopular winter sport in Asia for it is less known as opposed to figure and speed skating. The lack of fan support and facilities may come across as disadvantages of producing great talents like Crosby and Ovechkin, but this could also mean enormous potential for the development of ice hockey in Asia. |
So, Asia is the blue ocean. There's ample opportunity for growth in winter sports, especially those that are less well-known. With the announcement of PyeongChang Olympic Games in 2018, I hope people in Korea and other Asian countries to further their interest in ice hockey and prepare themselves for upcoming world class games.
